Introduction
Muktinath Bikas Bank Ltd as 'B' class development Bank has play initiative role to provide Microfinance Services taking the approval from Central Bank since Baisakh 2065. Muktinath Bikas Bank Ltd currently operates in the districts of Syangja, Kaski and Tanahun of Gandaki Zone. In accordance with Vision 2015, MBBL has plans to operate across the 10 district of Western & Mid region of Nepal, with a focus on rural regions underserved by microfinance institutions and where a large number of poor households lack access to financial services. Microfinance Department's core activity is making small loans to target clientele for income generating purposes using the Joint Liability Group methodology. Effective client targeting, streamlined loan processes, and strict credit discipline are all needed to enable MBBL's Microfinance programme to meet its dual purpose objectives of financial self-sustainability and outreach to our target clientele of rural poor.

Goal
MBBL's goal is to provide sustainable microfinance services to the poor people of remote and mountain districts of Nepal and thereby reduce poverty.

Objectives
Improve the financial sustainability and outreach of microfinance institutions serving in the Rural areas of hills & mountain districts. Raise the socioeconomic status of clients, especially women. Strengthen links to social development services.
